Fender Stratocaster 64 Ultra Relic Masterbuilt Vincent van Trigt (2024)

Several times we have already been lucky enough to offer a guitar that Vincent van Trigt posted on his own Instagram page. Of course in such a case you can assume that the masterbuilder looks at this special masterpiece with great pride. This is also the case with this 64 Stratocaster, which comes to its future owner with an ultra-reliced “Black” finish, an assorted alder body and a “Dark Tint” neck. In terms of aging this guitar is as expected in the absolute top league: countless hairline cracks, minor and above all major flaws, as well as considerable paint abrasion adorn the guitar and give it a phenomenal vintage patina. However, the real highlight is how seamlessly and harmoniously the white Fender brand logo has been incorporated. Wonderfully yellowed it gives the Strat a formidable recognition value and also looks really good. Also in terms of sound and playability the Stratocaster impresses us across the board. The neck feels like it's been played in for 30 years, but with its modern specs it immediately invites you to go crazy on the fretboard. “Modern C” neck profile, 7.25-9.25‘’ compound radius and the popular Narrow/Tall frets ensure the very best playability. In terms of sound, Vincent uses “Handwound Poblano” pickups, which are wound a little hotter in comparison, for pearly, bell-like sounds, balanced with a slight compression as known from old Strats. From juicy Blues on the neck to silky chords in the intermediate positions to roasting Rock on the bridge, everything is represented here in top form. The fact that van Trigt guitars are currently the most sought-after masterbuilds with extremely low availability and the very best value retention can only be considered a pleasant side note with this fantastic one-off...
