With a Thinline Tele, the back is the first to rejoice before hands and ears - after all, these guitars are known for their light weight thanks to the semi-hollow construction. This Nocaster model (without the Tele logo on the headstock) and beautifully dark two-tone sunburst weighs in at less than 3.2 kg. However, the featherweight construction is not reflected in a thin sound. Quite the opposite: Even dry, you get a loud, balanced and tight sound that lets you hope for killer tone on the amp. And indeed, the custom shop single coils do not disappoint in any way. Especially the neck pickup turns out to be an absolute tone monster: bell-like, full but also very transparent, this pickup position presents itself clean as well as distorted. Of course the intermediate position also sounds fantastically funky. And at the bridge you can work great with distortion, without the tone ever getting sharp or unpleasant. At the same time, it always "twangs" just like its solidbody sister models. Together with the very pleasant medium profile of the neck, you have a great player's guitar that covers all the classic Tele tones. It has been played extensively by the previous owner, which is why there are some traces of play in addition to the factory relicing - most clearly visible on the pickguard. But visually it fits perfectly into the Relic look. Also the jumbo frets already have some wear, but in our estimation still have a long life ahead of them.
