First developed for Michael Landau and named after his former band “Burning Water”, this model became one of the most iconic Tyler guitars in the world. With the perfect blend of awesome pickups and the legendary Burning Water finish with a bare wood arm contour, this guitar is an absolute highlight both visually and sonically. This “25th Anniversary” from 2018 has a light and extremely resonant ash body, which is combined with a maple neck and a pau ferro fingerboard. The “Standard 59” neck profile is as expected perfect, extremely comfortable with a warm and seductive feel due to Jim's wonderfully rounded fingerboard edges. Extremely well thought out this Burning Water comes with “JTS5 Stingray 500” pickups on the neck and in the middle as well as a “Covered Angry Retro” humbucker on the bridge. So you get the best of all worlds here: wonderful Strat tones, never shrill or edgy, combined with a rich Rock board on the bridge. The pickups sound extremely fresh and balanced. A tight bass foundation that never booms or muddies. Bell-like, pearly with lots of character and a great tone. It is precisely these sound characteristics that make this Tyler the perfect recording and live guitar. Fits perfectly into almost any production and band situation. The fact that this limited “25th Anniversary” model also comes with the signature of James Tyler himself on the armrest and as serial number 67 of only 75 examples has the greatest rarity value, only makes the overall package even more attractive.
