For this 914ce in Grand Auditorium shape Taylor did not make any compromises. A solid Sitka spruce top was glued to Indian rosewood body and sides. Fingerboard, bridge, headstock and pins are made of ebony, and koa was used for the rosette and purfling. The top comes with Taylor's V bracing for extra volume and sustain. The Venetian cutaway and the ebony armrest promise best playability. And what sounds good on paper, proves itself in practice! Class player's Taylor, on which you can play relaxed for hours, also thanks to the not too strong neck. Super present sound, nice and loud, and in itself balanced and coherent. The powerful mids, with which one should lie perfectly in any mix, are joined by pearly treble and a crisp bass. For stage use, Taylor's own ES-2 dynamic piezo system with three-band EQ is also on board. Simply a great all-round acoustic for all who want to play a lot!
