Suhr Standard Carve Top (2014)

John Suhr began his career in the 80s at "Rudy's Music Stop" in New York after gaining initial experience in building guitars for his own use. It was at this time that the legendary "Pensa-Suhr" guitars were created. John Suhr built guitars under this brand name for Mark Knopfler, Eric Clapton, Peter Frampton and Lou Reed. Some time later Suhr accepted a position at the Fender Custom Shop as Senior Masterbuilder and in addition to building high-quality custom guitars was also responsible for R&D and product innovations. John Suhr then opened his own, initially small company in 1997 driven by the pursuit of the highest possible quality in production, design and musicality. "JS Technologies" now sells guitars, amplifiers, pickups and effects units worldwide, all of which enjoy an excellent reputation. Suhr absolutely lives up to this excellent reputation with this Standard Carve Top, although the term "standard" should not really be used to describe anything here. An enchanting gloss finish with a beautifully carved quilted maple top in "Bengal Burst", immaculately finished with extremely well thought-out functionality. Equipped with a Suhr Zebra-SSV humbucker on the neck, a Suhr Zebra-SSV-Plus humbucker in the bridge position and a Suhr V60-SC singlecoil in the middle this Suhr is enormously versatile and equipped for any musical application. There is also a push/pull poti with which the humbuckers can be split. From funky-clean to hard-hitting Rock, anything is possible here! Always crystal clear and defined without ever sounding muddy. The playability is very modern thanks to a 9.5''-12'' compound radius and the super comfortable "Even C Medium" profile (0840''-.920'') and invites you to play for hours on end.
