Mateus Asato - one of the outstanding guitar voices of our time, who combines musicality, versatility, individual tone and limitless technique! In 2020 the manufacturer Suhr has once again dedicated a signature guitar to this exceptional Brazilian artist. We are pleased to offer you a specimen of the resulting Classic T here. It comes with a fantastic combination of a phenomenal AAA Roasted Birdseye neck and a top-bound swamp ash body, finished in gorgeous Piano Black with gold hardware. The collaboration between Mateus and John Suhr also produced two new custom pickups designed specifically for this guitar. John Suhr painstakingly hand-wound different neck and bridge pickups to find the perfect combination that Mateus was looking for to create his special fingerstyle neo soul style of playing and sound. Other features of this Tele-oriented Suhr include the Silent Single Coil System (SSCII) for hum suppression, perfectly machined stainless steel frets and a stunning lacquered Bakelite pickguard. And also playability of this musical beauty is at its best. The visually appealing neck with its satin finish, Even-C medium profile and 9.5''-12'' compound radius feels rich and comfortable in the hand and invites you to flit across the maple fingerboard.
