Suhr is known for its modern interpretation of the classics of guitar history. But relicing has also been used here in recent years to give the instruments the right amount of vintage charm. Anyone who buys a guitar from Suhr with the addition of "Antique" in the name will, like with other manufacturers, get fine hairline cracks or thick scratches in the varnish. On this Classic Antique in classical "Olympic White" the relicing is by no means subtle, but is evident in countless hairline cracks and various blemishes, which creates a wonderfully authentic vintage patina. Otherwise all the modern specs are installed here that often make Suhr the first choice for players: a comfortable "Even C Medium" neck with a 9"-12" compound radius and 22 stainless steel Medium frets, an incredibly smooth and detune-free Gotoh 510 two-point tremolo, Suhr locking tuners and Suhr's own SSCII hum suppression system, in which an additional coil under the pickguard ensures quiet. Everything has really been thought of here to make life easier for players. The pickups are Mike Landau singlecoils in the middle and on the neck and an SSV on the bridge. This ensures a nice, full-bodied, bluesy sound on the neck, fat Rock boards on the bridge and crystal-clear, extremely balanced sounds in the other positions. If you are looking for the right guitar for all jobs and sessions, this is the perfect choice. Top looks, top sound, top handling! So it's not surprising that the guitar has been played a lot in recent years. This is evident from the minor signs of use and play, which we have of course taken into account in the top price.
