Here we have one of the absolute top models from the Californian acoustic guitar manufacturer. The sides and back of the "Tony Rice Custom Professional" were made from the finest, very old Brazilian rosewood in order to come as close as possible to Tony Rice's original instrument. The guitar also features a fascinating European spruce top, beautiful Heringbone inlays, an attractive Dalmatian pickguard and the elegantly inlaid Santa Cruz company logo on the fingerboard. A discreet dream look without a lot of unnecessary ornamentation - the focus here is on the essentials! But it's not just the appearance of this acoustic that is enchanting, the sound is also simply phenomenal: wonderful response to all playing nuances, whether with plectrum or fingers, very full and differentiated sound without booming with a super pleasant frequency spectrum. The playability is also first class thanks to a shorter scale length (25.25'') and Tony's slim custom neck profile. So we can only agree with Tony when he described his guitar with the following words: "A guitar you can go to war with". And the best possible value retention is guaranteed here thanks to the Brazilian rosewood, which is becoming increasingly rare these days. Of course the guitar comes with the necessary CITES certificate, which was was also confirmed by the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation and the Munich Lower Nature Conservation Authority at our request. The acoustic, including the frets, is in top condition.
