If you have a soft spot for not-so-common electric guitars, you should prick up your ears at this work of art by Finnish luthier Juha Ruokangas. Here we have his interpretation of a semi-acoustic LP model that impresses with fabulous manufacturing quality. The body and neck of the Unicorn Artisan are made of Spanish cedar, the fingerboard is made of East Indian rosewood and Arctic birch with a unique grain is used for the top. The neck with 59 profile and typical 628mm scale has 22 perfectly dressed stainless steel frets, which are simply sensationally playable. Here you just fly over the fingerboard! As pickups Unicorn Custom Humbuckers are installed, which sound wonderfully rich and yet open. Of course, only the finest specs and features like a Long Tenon Set neck, a moose shin bone nut, Gotoh SD510 tuners or an ABM Tune-O-Matic bridge were used.
