It's simply amazing what top guitars at the best price/performance ratio keep coming out of Bill Rowe's workshop. The founder of Rock N Roll Relics has spent his whole life thinking about how to make guitars sound, feel and play great. The San Francisco born guitarist grew up with the classic Rock of the 70s and landed in the middle of the Rock explosion of the 1980s that first lit up the Sunset Strip in Hollywood and then blew up speakers around the world. Billy played rhythm and slide guitar with Jetboy, one of the pioneers of the incredible scene that spawned Guns'n'Roses and Poison. After decades as a touring musician and technician Billy Rowe had rebuilt countless guitars and realized he had a lot to offer the guitar building world. So in 2005 he founded Rock N Roll Relics, driven by a passion to build nothing less than all-around amazing guitars characterized by superb craftsmanship and the finest materials. The in-house “Soap P90” pickups are convincing across the board. Everything from Blues to Heavy Rock is well served here. Always beautifully percussive and direct in response. The neck has a super comfortable '59 profile. In combination with an ideal weight of just 3270 grams it plays really great. And as far as the look is concerned, the pictures speak for themselves: wonderfully rocked-out “TV Yellow” with the by no means subtle signs of aging in exactly the right places. Simply beautiful! The guitar is in top condition.
