We have been self-confessed Panucci fans for a long time. Unfortunately, these guitars are extremely rare. All the more we were happy when we opened the case of this 59 Inspired All Gold with a humbucker on the bridge and a P-90 pickup on the neck. The first thing that stands out here is the incredible aging. Angelo Merrienboer, the man behind the Panucci guitars, knows how to create an authentic aged look like no other, where you really think you have a guitar from the 50's in your hand. Countless hairline cracks and the play marks exactly in the right places. The woods used are Mahogany for the body, European Maple for the top and Vintage Madagascar Rosewood for the fretboard. Together with the hand-wound Panucci pickups, the result is a sound that simply gives you goosebumps. The guitar is incredibly direct and differentiated. Every nuance of the attack is transmitted in the best possible way. The humbucker smacks and has just the right amount of midrange to produce open rhythm sounds, as well as singing lead sounds. And the P90 delivers the percussive, bell-like blues sounds reminiscent of a super fat Strat with an extra dose of sustain. Here you don't want to stop playing. An exceptional guitar that meets the very highest sound and player requirements with a stunning look and a dream weight of 3640 grams. 100 points!
