Twice we could hardly believe our eyes when we saw this Panucci. The first time was when we opened the case and were simply blown away by the fantastic relicing that Angelo van Merrienboier had done to the gold top - the Gibson Custom Shop really has to watch its back here! The second time we put the guitar on the scale and it showed just 3280 grams. For comparison, that's lighter than most Strats! To our recollection, we're looking at the lightest LP guitar without chambering we've ever had in the store. However, the weight savings are not at the expense of the sound at all. On the contrary: Even unplugged, the guitar resonates fantastically and at the amp, the house-wound P90s show how much rock'n'roll is in them. Fat, squeaky sound with fast response and more than enough sustain for the most singing solos. Add to that the flawless playability with the not-too-thick 50s neck profile. What can we say: with every guitar Angelo seems to outdo himself. But this one is really hard to beat!!!
