And from the first note you feel like you're on a "real old one". The neck with its rounded shoulders and matte back feels incredibly authentic - not too thick, not too thin, just perfect. And then the sound! It's often said that the old Bursts were "Telecasters on steroids", and that's exactly the character you can hear here. It sounds a bit brighter and more open than many competitors, which is also the declared goal of Angelo van Merrienboer, who builds each instrument in meticulous handwork. You get exactly the warmth you want from a Les Paul, but with an extra dose of punch in the higher frequencies.
