This wonderful guitar named "Pauline" represents another fantastic example of the superior guitar building skills of Angelo van Merrienboer, founder of Panucci Custom Guitars. What a killer guitar, taking its cues from "Ole Red," a refurbished 1953 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop currently owned by Jared James Nichols. The latter describes his first eye contact with "Ole Red" as follows: "There was a guitar that I just couldn't take my eyes off. It was stunning. It's a 1953 goldtop that had been painted over. The backside and the back of the neck are now black and sometime in the '60s a coat of Dakota Red was sprayed over the goldtop. It's a really old overspray. The funny thing is that the goldtop finish was already aged and the Dakota Red was aged over it, so it's a double aged guitar!" This is exactly the look Angelo has meticulously replicated on this Panucci - simply wonderful! And what the look of this guitar promises continues in the sound and playability in the very best manner. Even dry the super resonant lightweight (only 3532 grams!) vibrates at its best and at the amp the house-wound P90s show how much Rock'n'Roll is in them. Fat, smacky sound with fast response and more than enough sustain for the most singing solos. In addition the perfect playability with the not too thick '59 neck profile. Here you feel comfortable, here you want to stay! We are happy to offer you this magnificent "'59 Inspired" including the frets in mint condition.
