PRS calls the SC245 "Vintage inspired", but of course you know what is meant: an alternative to the Les Paul. Like the model from Kalamazoo it comes as a singlecut model with two Humbuckers, 2 x volume and 2 x tone and a three-way toggle. In our copy from 2007 a varnish in classic black completes the overall picture. Most obvious difference: here a wraparound bridge was installed, which (as is well known) comes with top intonation at PRS. The "Wide Fat" neck profile feels great in the hand and the vintage-oriented SC-245 Humbuckers deliver the typical sound associated with a traditional singlecut. According to an enormous range of use you get - as with the old PAFs - the right sound in every situation. Best vintage sound spectrum with airy highs, a great bite and lots of smackiness. So, if you're looking for a slightly cheaper alternative to the Les Paul, you should take a closer look at this classy player. Furthermore, this PRS has been on the road for 15 years, which we have certainly factored into the price accordingly. Nevertheless, it is in top condition (including frets) except for some small scratches which are unavoidable with a black finish.
