What Gibson calls "Studio" PRS calls "Stripped". This means that some of the visual delicacies are sacrificed in favor of the price without touching the basic qualities of the guitar. In the case of the SC58 the neck binding, artist-grade top and headstock veneer were stripped. Otherwise you are dealing with a fully-fledged SC58 with the best playing characteristics. As with the original, a 1958 Les Paul, the guitar comes with a rather strong neck, but - how could it be otherwise with PRS - it is super comfortable to play. The sound of the two 58/15TM humbuckers is also very close to the original - a beautifully smacky humbucker sound that always remains sparkling and transparent even when played clean. The solid 2-piece bridge from PRS adds to the voluminous and vibrant sound of the guitar. The fact that the guitar remains well under 4 kg and also looks exceptionally good speaks for the quality and taste of the PRS guys. This SC58 comes to its future owner, who can also look forward to Paul Reed Smith's original signature on the cover plate of the electronics compartment, except for minimal traces of playing in top condition.
