Even after decades in the business, Paul Reed Smith constantly develops his instruments further. His discoveries of the last years flowed into this model, simply called "Paul's Guitar", which is based on the master's personal private stock guitar. Basically, we are dealing here with a further developed Modern Eagle. Visual innovations are the unbelievable three-dimensional Copper finish, the finer drawn „Brushstroke“ bird inlays as well as the smaller "Narrowfield"-Pickups. This is also where the actual innovation is hidden. Paul spent a lot of time studying old single coils to get authentic vintage stratsounds from John Mayer's Silver Sky. Although Paul's guitar is a TCI humbucker - TCI stands for Tuned Capacitance and Inductance - these pickups are also based on his intensive research. With the two small toggle switches between volume and tone pots, both pickups can be split into true singlecoil mode. So here you get a lot of sound options besides the spectacular look, the optimal playability and the perfect workmanship. From a fat rock tone to silky transparent funk sounds, everything is possible with this guitar. Perfect player with wow factor! Our specimen has a small paint flake on the upper strap pin (see photo), but is otherwise in perfect condition.
