And one look at the spec sheet reveals that PRS has really gone all out here: perched atop the "Lightweight African Ribbon" mahogany body is a gorgeous curly maple top in Vintage McCarty Smoked Burst, along with a grained mahogany neck with Madagascar rosewood fingerboard and grained maple binding. The inlays on the fingerboard and headstock are made of mother of pearl with paua binding. Thanks to the lightweight body the guitar comes in at just 3515 grams! But you don't realize what the guitar is really made of until you pick it up and turn on the amp. What a beast! The two 58/15 humbuckers transmit the rich basic character in the best PAF manner to the amp and provide for smacky lead and crisp rhythm sounds. It can't be mentioned often enough how close PRS comes to the sound of the real old PAF humbuckers with these pickups - more authentic than many newer Les Pauls!
