Today we have a really rare treat to offer you: a PRS McCarty 594 Soapbar Limited. It's rare to find a PRS with P90 pickups, so we're all the more delighted to be able to present this gem to you. In 1986, in his company's second year of production, Paul Reed Smith came to the attention of Ted McCarty, the former highly innovative president of the Gibson Corporation. McCarty then worked as a consultant for PRS and this collaboration finally culminated in his own model, the PRS McCarty. A comparatively thicker body delivers an extremely powerful, balanced and open sound. The McCarty, which already sounds extremely resonant and woody when dry, shows its full strength on the amp with the Soapbar pickups delivering their characteristic crisp, brilliant and dynamic sound. Here everything is possible from bright Funk to warm Blues to earthy Rock in absolute top form. And this McCarty not only sounds really good and plays excellently with its 10'' fretboard radius and the popular “Pattern Vintage” neck profile, it also looks fantastic. The top made of wonderfully patterned curly maple shows a unique flame, the noble gloss finish in “Black Gold” and the rosewood fingerboard with noble binding and the unmistakable “Birds” inlays round off the fantastic appearance. We are delighted to be able to offer you this special instrument in mint condition at a top price.
