PRS Mark Tremonti 10-Top Violet Blue (2021)

Today was another day when we opened a guitar case and were initially speechless. As if having a soundmighty PRS Mark Tremonti in front of us wasn't enough the beauty of this phenomenal 10-top with gorgeous Violet Blue finish really blew us away. Often PRS guitars come across too garish in Violet-Blue, but definitely not here. The violet is extremely subtle and the extremely dark blue dominates in its elegance. What a stunning look, especially in combination with the gold hardware. But this dream PRS can not only convince with its look, but we also really like it when it comes to sound and playability. Like all Tremontis it was designed as a signature guitar in collaboration with Mark Tremonti, the guitarist of Creed, Alter Bridge and his own band. Based on a PRS McCarty more aggressive pickups were created that Mark wanted for his particular style and sound. And what a killer sound these Tremonti pickups have! At the bridge merciless, punchy, fat sound. Perfect for differentiated rock boards and singing lead sounds. On the neck a little more set, nicely differentiated with no mud at all. In the intermediate position this combination brings wonderful clean sounds. The Tremonti neck profile is of course great in the hand and the stoptail used in this unconditional rock guitar accomodates the Tremonti-usual way of playing with increased palm muting. So, if you want to combine proven Paul Reed Smith quality and Mark Tremonti's fantastic sound with perfect playability and a stunning 10-top, this is the guitar for you. The guitar had a new price of EUR 5.800,- a few months ago. It is in top condition except for a minimal play mark on the upper rib (see picture 14).
