This Hollowbody II was the December model and thus the last "Guitar of the Month" that PRS released in 2016 on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Private Stock program. For this purpose, all guns were fired once again - such a guitar work of art as this Hollowbody is rarely seen! Except for the mahogany sides and the birdseye maple fingerboard, the guitar is made entirely of the rare South American ziricote wood, whose distinct grain makes for an elegant look. As a visual highlight, intricate "Winter Egrets" mother-of-pearl inlays have been added to the fingerboard and headstock. In addition, the guitar brings maximum practical value, because it is equipped with both two P90 and a piezo pickup. The highlight: With the small toggle switch, you can not only switch between the two pickup types, but also mix them together. Thus, everything from rock to jazz is possible. And of course, the guitar cuts a great figure in all disciplines: the fresh and concise basic character and the terrific resonance is transmitted to the amp by the pickups crisp and yet with a lot of warmth. The pattern neck plays with its medium profile as if by itself. Even less of this guitar were built than of the other "Guitars of the Month" - only 12 pieces are in circulation worldwide.
