This Hollowbody II was the December model and therefore the last “Guitar of the Month” that PRS released in 2016 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Private Stock program. For this the company once again fired from all cylinders - a guitar work of art like this hollowbody is rarely seen! Apart from the mahogany sides and the birdseye maple fingerboard the guitar is made entirely from the rare South American ziricote wood, whose distinct grain combined with the satin nitro lacquer finish creates an extremely elegant look. As a visual highlight elaborate mother-of-pearl “Winter Egrets” inlays have been inserted into the fingerboard and headstock. The guitar also offers maximum practical value as it is equipped with two P90 pickups, as well as a piezo pickup. The absolute highlight is that you can not only switch between the two types of pickups with the small toggle switch, but you can also mix them together. This means that anything from Rock to Jazz is possible. And of course the guitar cuts a great figure in all disciplines! The fresh and concise basic character and the great vibration behavior are transmitted to the amp by the pickups crisp and yet with a lot of warmth. The neck with the proven Pattern profile plays as if by itself. Even fewer examples of this guitar were built than of the other “Guitar of the Month” models - only 12 specimens are in circulation worldwide. We are therefore all the more pleased to be able to offer you this extremely rare highlight in mint condition.
