For the 30th anniversary in 2015 Paul Reed Smith really came up with something special. To honor the guitar with which it all began, the Custom 24, he equipped the anniversary model with some special features. Uncovered 85/15 pickups are used, which he designed himself, feature remarkable clarity and an extended tonal range (in terms of bass and treble) and are a modern interpretation of the first pickups used by PRS in the Custom 24. The fretboard inlays feature a special, unique bird flight motif on the Anniversary model and the truss rod cover plate also bears the Anniversary lettering. Of course this Custom 24 30th Anniversary here has all these extras and special features, but most of all it has tremendous mojo. You can tell it's been on the road a lot over the last seven years: wonderfully played in and tuned in, already dry you can hear that. Dings, dongs, abrasions and small scratches - here you don't have to worry about your own blunders anymore. So, if you're looking for a "naturally aged" PRS, you've come to the right place! And at the amp it's a real blast: whether singing lead, heavy rhythm or open blues sounds this Custom 24 is at home everywhere. The comfortable pattern-thin neck profile makes you feel right at home and you can feel that the Player-PRS here is simply one of those guitars you don't want to put down anymore. Although the guitar has been played and rocked a lot the frets are in very good condition.
