Here we have a real treat for you: the 2012 PRS Brent Mason Studio from the Private Stock Collection Series. This series includes Private Stock guitars, which are manufactured as part of a very small edition of 15 pieces worldwide. The present "Brent Mason", named after the American guitarist and songwriter, who according to Guitar World Magazine is counted among the ten best studio guitarists of all time, features the 408 pickups ("Four coils, eight sounds") designed by Paul Reed Smith. With regard to the single-coil circuit variants these have the advantage that they add about 1500 turns on the remaining coil when one coil is switched off in order to counteract a loss of volume. And how do these pickups sound? Simply super: incredibly smacky, juicy and yet tight and defined. The insane sound naturally matches the appearance of the Private Stock guitar. Only the finest, extremely luxurious and high-end: body made of mahogany with a beautifully grained curly-maple top, neck made of fine pernambuco wood with the comfortable pattern profile, fingerboard made of African blackwood with "Celtic knot" inlays of ivory and mother-of-pearl. The guitar has been hand signed by Paul Reed Smith and the namesake Brent Mason and is in top condition including the frets. As an additional "treat" you get the 06/2016 issue of the German magazine "Grand gtrs" with a detailed article about the Collection Series and this dream PRS, which also carries an original signature of Paul Reed Smith.
