Many PRS models are true Les Paul killers, and this is especially true of the 408. Not only does it come in the classic burst look, but the wood selection with mahogany body and neck, maple top and rosewood fingerboard is also based on the competitor from Nashville. However, there are some differences, because the PRS is much more versatile: Firstly, there is the perfectly tuned Patented Gen III tremolo, which works precisely and without detuning. With the locking tuners, string changes can be made in no time at all. And the two 408 humbuckers can be individually split into singlecoils with the small toggle switches. But there is no compromise when it comes to the heart of the guitar, the sound. The two pickups are incredibly smacky, juicy and yet tight and defined. This is exactly how a modern LP sound should sound! Together with the perfect playability of the pattern neck, you simply have a killer player guitar for almost all situations.
