It's pretty ambitious to build a Telecaster-inspired guitar and call it the “Twangmeister”! But Nik Huber delivers 100% on the promise of the name with this midnight black beauty - albeit with a slightly different pickup combination than you're used to. A “T90” pickup resides on the neck, which complements the classic “Broad” pickup on the bridge with a typical P90 sound. Even though you really have the unadulterated Tele sound at the bridge thanks to the Gotoh T-style bridge, the neck and the middle sound a little fatter than usual. Nevertheless, the typical twang is completely retained thanks to the brass saddles. All in all, you get a true all-round guitar with Tele character that covers all styles from Metal to Country to Rock brilliantly. In keeping with the guitar's powerful sound the neck is somewhat stronger, but sits fantastically in the hand - and thanks to Nik Huber's perfect workmanship you'll be flying over the fretboard. Access to the highest frets is guaranteed by the extra cut-out at the neck-body transition. And thanks to the artificially aged hardware and abalone dots the Twangmeister also looks great.
