This Nik Huber Surfmeister is one of a kind! It was made as a one-off in the custom color "Faded Candy Apple Red" and a thinner neck profile compared to regular Surfmeisters. The Semi-Hollow body in Semi-Gloss is made of 37 mm thick mahogany. Besides the approximately 10 mm thick rib, the center block was preserved, in which the mahogany neck, the Häussel custom Tronbucker pickups and the bridge's anchor screws were embedded. Maple was used for the top, and the fingerboard is made of East Indian rosewood and beautiful sterling silver inlays. According to Nik Huber, the guitar has a "Californian heart", by which is meant that the neck comes with a 648mm Fender scale and brings the corresponding feel. The playing comfort here is, as usual with Nik Huber, of course first class. The real highlight, however, is the fantastic sound of the Tronbucker. Clean pearly and open, they growl distorted like a mean street dog. Despite the semi-hollow design, you get jazz, blues and funk at their best, as well as Malcolm Young sounds and singing leads.
