The fact that good guitars can be built in Germany is nothing new. This good reputation is due in part to the Nik Huber luxury forge. Their guitars are not only in demand in Germany, but also worldwide. The Krautster II is clearly in the corner of Les Paul Junior and the like. Pure sound, fantastic handling and only the finest components. This is of course also the case with this Krautster II from 2023, which has a pleasantly light mahogany body and a wonderfully patinated finish in “Worn Onyx Black”. In combination with the beautifully flamed maple neck and the equally patinated black pickguard this is a really great look. The haptically perfect fingerboard made of East Indian rosewood is a perfect match. Thanks to the “Std. Krautster” neck carve and an ideal weight of 3240 grams the playing characteristics of the guitar are of course top notch. But the best thing about this Huber is its sound! The combination of a P90 “1956” on the neck with a “1959-B” humbucker on the bridge definitely leaves nothing to be desired in terms of sound. This combination is simply fun! When distorted at the bridge, the Krautster covers everything from AC/DC to the Foo Fighters to juicy, modern Rock. Fat and uncompromising with an invitation for hard riffs and singing lead sounds! And the P90 on the neck also likes it clean. Crisp, direct, very fresh and yet with enormous warmth for clean pickings and warm Blues. This makes the Krautster a full-blown sound chameleon and last but not least, it also impresses with the additional sound variety that can be realized by the split function of the humbucker using the push/pull pot. We are delighted to be able to offer you this fantastic all-round guitar in top condition with only minimal signs of use.
