Wow!! I had a really big grin on my face when I took this Krautster II Custom out of the case. Simply killer, what Nik Huber has built for an extraordinary guitar! Exactly my thing! Super optics, best workmanship, dream woods and a sound that leaves nothing to be desired. This unique piece was built for Session Musik. Mahogany body, flamed maple neck with ebony fingerboard and block inlays, finish in vintage white. The neck is a dream! ...I've rarely seen such a grain and it feels great in the hand with the only lightly oiled back. The profile I would describe as rather grippy. Feels really good in in the hand. The Häusel Hot B pickup on the bridge really rocks with a smacking, precise and open sound. The guitar responds very quickly and plays just great. But the real hit is the Lollar Gold pickup on the neck. No mud, pure bluesy, earthy sound that is still differentiated even on open chords. The tone poti is a push/pull poti that splits the humbucker at the bridge to provide even more sound variations. Here we have a 100-point guitar that you just don't want to put down.
