The so-called "Pre War" Martins are particularly coveted as musical instruments, collector's items and antiques. Of course the corresponding originals are prohibitively expensive, but fortunately Martin offers perfect replicas of these legendary instruments as part of the Authentic series, which come very close to the originals in terms of appearance and sound. This is also the case with this Martin OM-28 Authentic 1931, which has a great vintage look and a fantastically rich, voluminous sound. Despite the well-known handy 000 format the OM series generally has more volume due to a longer scale length and with a slightly wider neck profile is an excellent instrument for ambitious musicians. And this particular specimen impresses with its great orchestral tone with an excellent bass foundation, pleasant mids and brilliant highs. It also delivers a warm note, balanced in all dynamic ranges with a super response, a pleasure both with flatpick and above all with fingerstyle. In terms of sound, we have the absolute top league here! The back and sides are made of fine rosewood, the top of Adirondack spruce and the whole thing is completed by a wonderfully dark ebony fingerboard - the most classic Martin look with just the right vintage touch. The playability of the acoustic is extremely comfortable due to the pleasant medium to strong neck with a very soft V, leaving nothing to be desired. Look, playability and sound at their very best! We are delighted to be able to offer you this killer acoustic in top condition.
