Super rare Martin OM-42 Paul Simon from the limited first series. Actually 500 pieces should have been built, but only 223 were finished. Visually simply a dream. Indian Rosewood, Sitca-Spruce-Top, Ebony Fretboard, Snowflake-Inlays, beautiful Tortoise Binding, and of course the fantastic Abalone inlays. And this guitar is something for sound gourmets. Very balanced with just the right amount of midrange to be beautifully present. Silky highs and a great frequency spectrum. The basses are not too dominant, but differentiated ... optimal for recording. If you have a guitar for fingerpicking with the highest sound requirements, you will be happy here. The guitar had a very fine hairline crack, which was professionally repaired on the top and in the neck area of the rosette two more very small cracks (see pictures), which do not influence the playability and sound in any way. On the contrary ... it is always said that soundboards with slight hairline cracks swing more open again ;-) The original frets are in very good condition.
