We are pleased to offer you here a very special Martin D-45. The D-45 is considered to be the most expensive and most elaborately equipped guitar of the Martin standard line anyway. But this one has even more special specs, as it entails Madagascar rosewood back and sides and an Adirondack top. D-45s are no longer produced in this version and are also hard to find on the used market. The classy look of this wood combination is completed by the ivory binding, abalone snowflake inlays on the deep black ebony fingerboard, gold Waverly tuners with butterbean knobs and the noble faux tortoise pickguard. Furthermore, more than 900 abalone pearl inlays were hand filed, mitered and fitted into the inlays of the top, sides, back and rosette. This instrument truly represents the absolute pinnacle of C.F. Martin's building skills! Of course this also applies to its sound: full and voluminous, super balanced with a very wide frequency spectrum where you miss nothing at all. No bass buzz or overemphasized strings. And of course you can also hear that it has been played for several years and is therefore nicely played in. The Low-Profile neck feels great in the hand and contributes to the first-class playability of the guitar. Whether for fingerpicking or strumming, you won't want to put this guitar down. Except for a few small play marks (i.e. on the back of the neck) the guitar is in top condition. The previous owner did an upgrade on the bridge and pins, but the original parts are included. Furthermore the eleven year old instrument shows minimal and beautiful natural checkings in the varnish as you could not wish nicer from Murphy Lab or a masterbuilder from the Custom Shop. Due to the very low quantities of this series the value retention is of course also very stable. So, if you want to park your money on a phenomenal masterpiece of acoustic guitar making, you've come to the right place!
