However, with this 12-fret version the Martin Custom Shop has gone one step further by giving this fabulous instrument a beautiful "Ambertone 1933" finish. The subtle white binding, the traditional faux tortoise pickguard and a slotted headstock with gold-colored logo are a perfect match. The classic combination of mahogany back and sides and an Adirondack spruce top ensures the very best sounds. The sound is clearly defined with a beautiful balance between treble, mid-range and bass: a pronounced mid-range, pearly, radiant treble and a well-defined bass. Unobtrusive at first, but with an enormous amount of three-dimensionality and depth. The shape of the guitar in combination with the comfortable 12-fret neck with "Modified V" profile offers excellent playing characteristics, perfect for fingerstyle.
