Martin 00-CS 14F Guatemalan Custom Shop (2021)

Wow, ...and wow again!!! This delicacy is a custom order from Musikhaus Hermann and is the fantastic result of Jörg Hermann's collaboration with the Martin Custom Shop. And what a fantastic acoustic has come out of it! Back and sides made from the extremely rare Guatemala rosewood(!), the top made from "Italian Alpine Spruce", deep dark ebony fingerboard with attractive abalone inlays, scalloped bracing made from Sitka spruce and a binding made from highly flamed Koa. The creators of the guitar have really come up with something extremely unusual, which of course also results in the best visual and tonal characteristics. The wonderfully grained Guatemala rosewood alone promises a powerful and warm sound with a broad spectrum. It is also beautifully balanced and despite its small size has a great volume. But thanks to the Italian Alpine spruce the acoustic also offer enormously fine nuances, rich in overtones. This gem also leaves nothing to be desired in terms of playability. As if the comparatively small body shape didn't already offer enough comfort, the pleasantly satin-finished neck with the popular "Modified Low Oval" profile goes one better. The very best player characteristics meet a very special, multi-faceted sound and the classic Martin look, which is in a league of its own thanks to the exclusive MHH specs. It's hardly surprising that this gem has also been played in recent years. Accordingly, the guitar, which list price was EUR 14,500, shows minimal signs of wear on the first few frets, but is otherwise in top condition.
