For me, definitely one of the best Gretsch guitars I've had in my hands so far - and I count the real old Gretsch guitars among them. White Falcon 1955 Masterbuilt and reliced by none other than Stephen Stern. When you open the case for the first time, you are sure that it is a real old Gretsch. Incredibly well and authentically relicing with countless hairline cracks and little dings and dongs. Even the slightly yellowed white colour is spot on. The workmanship of this White Falcon is simply awesome. Everything fits. Stephen Stern handcrafted the entire instrument. All this is surpassed by the sound and playability. Perfectly dressed frets, dead straight neck with a pleasant medium to grippy profile. Bigsby works flawlessly. The DeArmond pickups bring the typical fat, shimmering, open sound known from the original old Gretsch guitars. The guitar is in top condition and my recommendation for those who are looking for the typical old Gretsch sound, but don't want to miss out on the best modern craftsmanship by Stephen Stern. Killer guitar!
