This opulently equipped SG is not based on the actor Kirk Douglas but on "Captain" Kirk Douglas. He is the guitarist of the U.S. band The Roots, which as the house band of the Jimmy Fallon Show on NBC is also known to many in Germany. There Kirk is dependent on a flexible working instrument, which is why his signature SG from Gibson USA comes with the maximum of equipment. The guitars were sold out very quickly because of the limited edition and are now already offered at prices beyond EUR 4,000. Three Burstbuckers are used as pickups and in addition to the classic volume and tone controls there is also a master volume control, which was installed on the pickguard.
