This SG is the exact replica of the 1967 SG Custom that Jimi Hendrix played on September 9 at the Dick Cavett Show. Jimi Hendrix played the right-handed model strung on the left. The limited edition reissue model, however, is strung on the right, so it is designed for right-handed players. The aging was done in the newly founded Murphy-Lab and here, of course, the name Murphy again vouches for the best quality. Very authentic, detailed aging. The model is limited to only 150 pieces, which ensures the best value retention. The neck is specified as a 60's Slim Tapper, but feels more like medium neck, so not quite as slim as a typical Slim Tapper. The three 68's custom buckers make for slick SG sound that comes through great and sounds nice and grippy. Super workmanship and playability. Gibson Custom Shop at its best. The guitar is in mint condition, no signs of play.
