The Gibson SG Angus Young Aged & Signed is currently probably one of the rarest Custom Shop models on the guitar market. Even we have not been lucky enough yet to hold such a rarity in our hands. Therefore we are even more pleased to be able to offer you this magnificent piece, which is limited to 50 pieces. In 2009 the Gibson Custom Shop released this replica of Angus Young's first and favorite guitar, which is still his favorite instrument today. And not only does it bear his signature and was played by him, but rather it was designed and built in complete cooperation with the AC/DC guitarist. Analogous to Angus' personal SGs the finish here is also a bit darker compared to the cherry finish of regular SGs, the neck profile is comparatively even a bit thinner and the tone controls are bypassed like on the original. This ensures an extremely comfortable playing experience and you can actually feel like you're on the Highway to Hell when you let your fingers fly over the fretboard. In addition, the fingerboard has been provided with Lightning Bolt inlays, the most distinctive part of the AC/DC logo. Furthermore Schaller M6 tuners and an extra-heavy, chrome-plated stopbar tailpiece were installed. The pickups are Seymour Duncan's Vintage Pearly Gates in order to get as close as possible to the sound of the guitar god in school uniform: noisy power chords and ear-splitting solos - just High Voltage! We can offer you this rare collector's item in mint condition with no play marks on the frets.
