Another masterpiece from Gibson's Murphy Lab! You can't get enough of this SG 64 Reissue with Maestro Vibrola. The perfectly hit cherry colour, the detailed heavy aging with subtly aged metal parts and countless hairline cracks ... everything fits here! In the hand, the rather chunky neck is noticeable at first, which you would not expect from an SG. However, it is an "Authentic 1964 C Profile" and thus corresponds exactly to the historical model. And thanks to the craftsmanship in the Gibson Custom Shop - the neck was "double carved and hand sanded" - it plays simply fantastic! Even dry, the typical SG sound character is noticeable, which the Alnico III Custombuckers transport to the amp in exactly the same way. Add to this a killer sustain, and with increasing distortion the evil side of this guitar becomes apparent. You can only get such a focused rock sound from an SG.
