If you want this SG Junior, you have to know what you're getting into: an uncompromising Rock'n'Roll machine that comes with minimal sound options but maximum tone and fun factor! The guitar has a wonderfully patinated VOS finish and weighs well under 3 kg, just like most historical originals. Your back will be happy! In view of the slim look it is somewhat surprising that the neck has a healthy medium profile and not the super-slim Slim Taper profile. Feels great in the hand and provides the right mass, which gives the guitar great vibration behavior when played dry. As soon as you switch on the amp the fun really starts: the single Dog-Ear-P90 growls, hisses and sparkles just the way you want it to! Due to the bridge position the clean sound is of course on the brighter side, but always balanced and without harsh frequencies. Whether it's funky single notes or glittering chords, you should be able to be heard well in any mix. Of course with distortion the sun rises! The pickup delivers a super crunch sound that turns every dry Rock riff into a revelation. With more gain the guitar sings more than it should with its low mass. Once again the Custom Shop has really done a great job here! Apart from a single blemish on the armrest and minimal traces of use the SG Junior will be delivered to its future owner in top condition.
