If you want this SG Junior, you have to know what you're getting into: an uncompromising Rock'n'Roll machine that comes with minimal sound options but maximum tone and fun factor! The guitar is kept in the almost unaged VOS finish and weighs well under 3kg, just like most historic originals. Here your back is happy! Given the slim appearance it's a bit surprising that the neck comes with a healthy medium and not the super slim taper profile. However, it lies great in the hand and provides the right mass, which gives the guitar a super vibration behavior dry. As soon as you turn on the amp the fun really starts: the Dog-Ear-P90 growls, hisses and sparkles exactly as you want it! Clean of course it is due to the bridge position rather on the brighter sounding side, but always sounds balanced and without harsh frequencies. Whether funky single notes or sparkling chords, here you should be heard well in any mix. With distortion, of course, the sun rises. The pickup delivers a super-crunchy sound that turns any dry Rock riff into a revelation. With more gain the guitar sings more than it should with its low mass. Once again the Custom Shop has done a great job and we would say that you have to find a vintage original that comes close to this sound. We are happy to offer you this guitar in top condition.
