Brian Ray might be known to most of you as the guitarist of Paul McCartney. His years of experience are reflected in the genius of this SG Junior model. This SG Junior can be played as a tremolo SG with the Vibrola tremolo, as well as in the wrap around version with a fixed bridge. The clever design of the convertible bridge offers the player the choice between a Tune-O-Matic ABR1,a wrap tail bridge and a Vibrola tremolo and all this in a period of time that is normally needed to change the strings. Under the pickguard is a passive induction coil that reduces noise and hum at high gain settings via push/push pot while maintaining the tone of the powerful P-90 pickup. The neck has a nice beefy profile. Tonally, it's just pure rock n' roll. Very differentiated, crisp, typical P90 sound. Optimal for all kinds of rock riffs. But also clean super and not at all too hard or shrill. Simply a great tone and best suited for those who like to vary the tone with the velocity. The body is minimally thicker than an SG and the look speaks for itself here. The guitar is absolutely mint and as good as unplayed.
