Pat Martino, arguably one of the greatest Jazz guitarists, suffered a brain aneurysm in 1980, which left him with amnesia and forced him to relearn how to play the guitar. It is said that he did this with the help of his own recordings, thus regaining his former glory and regaining his phenomenal virtuosity. In 2002 the Gibson Custom Shop dedicated a signature model to this exceptional musician that really packs a punch. The Pat Martino model is a slightly oversized Les Paul that comes as a semi-hollow. The advantage of such a model is that, although it is in the size range of the Les Paul, it can deliver the warmth and tone of an ES-335. And that is precisely the unmistakable sound with which this Paula also enchants. "Oleo", "Days of Wine and Roses", "Thew Road Song" - these are the fantastic sounds that this guitar stands for. With its medium-sized neck it is really easy to play and, of course, the look is also a great pleasure. Wonderfully pronounced grain in the finest caramel-gloss finish and golden hardware. We are delighted to be able to offer you this special guitar with that certain "Jazz flair" including the frets in top condition.
