Buckethead, real name Brian Patrick Carroll, known as a phenomenal solo artist and former guitarist of Guns N' Roses, is considered one of the fastest guitarists in the world, producing daring fusions of Speed Metal, Techno and Jazz in frenzied endless runs. Over the course of his career Buckethead has released some groundbreaking albums such as “Crime Slunk Scene” or “Electric Tears” and has delighted his fans with countless so-called “Pikes” since 2011. Of course Gibson could not help but dedicate a signature guitar to this exceptional artist. The Gibson Les Paul Studio Buckethead Baritone is an extremely multifaceted instrument. It comes with two kill switches, which are essential for Buckethead's sound, as well as the option of splitting the built-in humbuckers using a push/pull poti. These pickups are a 496R on the neck and a 500T on the bridge, which are enchanting both clean and distorted across the board. You only have to listen to “Soothsayer” to fully appreciate the multifaceted nature of these pickups: clean, wonderfully bell-like and sparkling, with distortion fat and smacking, rich and roasty with perfect transparency and string separation. “King James”, ‘Lebrontron’ and ‘The Redeem Team’ are the sounds that this musical rarity was made for! And despite the extra-long scale length of 27'' this Paula is really easy to play thanks to the baked maple fingerboard and the 24 Medium Jumbo frets. There's probably no need to say anything about the look here. This guitar is an icon, played by a living legend!
