"Paradise City", "Sweet Child O' Mine", "Mr. Brownstone" and "Welcome to the Jungle" - these are the tunes that you immediately have in your ear when you see this iconic guitar. The original was the main guitar used by Saul Hudson a.k.a Slash to record the debut album of his band Guns'n'Roses. Slash was working hard on the 1987 recordings and was extremely frustrated trying to get the sound he wanted with different electric guitars he was using. Then, when someone put a new Les Paul Standard in his hands, he had found his dream Paula. With this legendary rock machine Slash laid down the deadliest rock riffs of the decade creating the best-selling debut album of all time. In 2010 the Gibson Custom Shop decided to release a replica of this iconic musical instrument in a limited edition (VOS) of 300 pieces. This specimen (#225) has a uniquely grained maple top, amber top-hat buttons, a rosewood fingerboard with traditional trapeze inlays and Seymour Duncan Signature Series Alnico II Pro Slash "Zebra Coil" humbuckers. It sings and sounds like very few guitars: rich, fat Slash tones, defined, transparent and dynamic. Playability, of course, is impeccable thanks to a comfortable weight of just 3820 grams, a solid one-piece Grade-A mahogany neck with Slash's favorite Signature profile and a 12" fingerboard radius. If you want an icon of music history with killer player characteristics and unbelievable looks, this is the guitar for you. This specimen has some minor wear on the back, but is otherwise in top condition including frets.
