Gibson Les Paul Slash "AFD" & "Jessica" Jason Momoa Set Murphy Lab Aging (2020)

The eight-part series “On the Roam” accompanies actor Jason Momoa on his search for new adventures, creativity and friendship in the spirit of craftsmanship. In the process he meets extraordinary people who go their own way, from craftsmen and motorcycle builders to musicians and athletes. In episode 5 he meets Slash, the legendary guitarist from Guns N' Roses, Velvet Revolver and Slash's Snakepit, in the Gibson Garage. During the conversation Jason asks, which guitars are Slash's favorites, whereupon he immediately mentions his “Appetite for Destruction” and “Jessica”. Accordingly the Gibson Custom Shop pricked up its ears and produced four(!) replica sets of these guitars. They kept one in their archive, another is now owned by Slash, the other by Jason Momoa and today we are delighted to be able to offer you the fourth pair (with consecutive serial numbers). This set was also originally owned by Jason Momoa, was even played by him and finally auctioned off for charity (Make a Wish and St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital). Serial number 3, the Les Paul “AFD”, comes with an incredible Heavy Aging, where the guys at Murphy Lab really show what they are capable of. Not only is it super authentic in terms of artificial signs of wear, but the honey-colored finish and the typical neck profile are also confusingly similar to the original. The same applies to the Les Paul “Jessica” with serial number 4, which has been meticulously modeled on the original guitar that Slash has played since 1988. As expected both guitars, which are in absolute collector's condition, sound like Saul Hudson aka Slash: smacking, roasting, but also transparent with perfect string separation. Great Rock sound that craves songs like “Welcome to the Jungle”, “Sweet Child O' Mine” and “Paradise City”! Although both guitars are already labeled as exclusive by the inscription on the back of their headstocks, when you see Slash's original signature on the “Jessica” and the certificate signed by both artists you know you're looking at a unique opportunity to reach the pinnacle of collector's passion.
