Like Eddie van Halen's Strat, Marc Bolan's Les Paul was a real Frankenstein guitar. It was pieced together from a late fifties body and, after a broken neck, had several new necks glued in - most recently a black neck from a 70s LP Custom. Bolan himself repainted the body and the resulting color was named "Marc Bolan Chablis." In 2011, the Gibson Custom Shop made a faithful replica series of the original - with 350 in the VOS finish, 100 in the Aged version. We can offer you #060 of the Aged version. And what can we say - the guitar sounds like it looks! A perfect Rock Les Paul with best player characteristics. The slim custom neck plays like a charm, the whole guitar resonates exceptionally well, and the specially wound custombuckers (not to be confused with the later series custombuckers) provide a sizzling, defined rock sound. From blues rock to heavy metal the perfect choice! We can offer you the guitar with all accessories in mint condition. The previous owner replaced the pickup frames with higher quality replacements, but the originals are included. Great guitar with best value retention!
