We are delighted to be able to offer you something extremely rare and special today: a Les Paul Joe Perry "Gold Rush" Axcess! Only 25(!) specimens were built in the "Aged & Signed" version. These have of course long since sold out and are virtually impossible to find on the second-hand market. What's more, this Axcess is the single-digit serial number 009 of this sought-after collector's item. "Single digits" are extremely in demand, which certainly has an impact on their excellent value retention. Great care was taken during the aging process to ensure great fidelity to the original, so that every trace of play and use of the original was recreated in a beautiful Antique Gold finish. Furthermore this signature model of the Aerosmith guitarist combines the beautiful curves of a Les Paul with some special features, above all a super smooth-running two-point tremolo system (Wilkinson/Gotoh VS100N) and comfort contouring on the back, which in conjunction with the "'59 C" neck profile, Medium Jumbo frets and the ingenious Axcess Contour heel make the guitar extremely comfortable to play. The two-piece maple body is framed by an elegant, cream-colored binding and the deep dark rosewood fingerboard enchants with great "pearloid" trapezoid inlays. However, the absolute highlight here is the single 498T humbucker, which can be split into a singlecoil using the push/pull poti. This gives it a wide variety of sound facets that will not only impress Joe Perry. Smacking, differentiated Rock sound at its very best with the very characteristic tone for which we know and love Aerosmith. Clean as well as distorted this is an energetic sound that is a real joy! Joe said about his Goldtop: "It's the best of the Stratocaster and the best of the Les Paul, because I love the sound of the Les Paul and, ultimately, I love the way a Les Paul feels, but I love the ergonomics of a Strat. I love the whammy bar." So the only question that remains with this Paula, which we can offer you in best collector's condition, is whether you are dealing with an absolute top player or an exceedingly rare collector's item. But whatever demands you place on a guitar, you can't go wrong here!
