Once again we are very lucky to be able to offer you a Les Paul that has been "painted" by Tom Murphy himself, as evidenced by the initials "TM" in the control compartment of the guitar. It is well known that such a special Gibson from the Custom Shop has been extremely sought-after since the opening of the Murphy Lab due to its high rarity value. Because of the the meticulous wood selection by Tom Murphy and Jörg Hermann the present Paula, a special order for Musikhaus Hermann, immediately impresses with its phenomenal top grain and almost perfect bookmatching. Rounded off by a fantastic color gradient and a heavy aging of the Murphy Lab that could not be more authentic. Countless hairline cracks, larger and smaller blemishes and abrasion in the right places adorn the surface and give the Les Paul an extremely attractive vintage look. But with this 60th Anniversary (including MHH upgrade specs) it doesn't stop with the look. It immediately impresses with its insane weight of just 3495 grams and the extremely comfortable "50s Rounded Tom Murphy Shape" neck profile. Contrary to original expectations this is not an extremely thin 60s neck profile, but rather a 59-medium profile that accommodates all hand sizes in the most comfortable way. Like all instruments with the exclusive MHH specs this Les Paul resonates really well, which the two unpotted Custombuckers transfer to the amp in the best possible way. These Custombuckers are "Murphy specs" that meet Tom Murphy's tonal requirements exactly. The neck pickup was designed "underwound" and is warm, transparent, three-dimensional and never undifferentiated or muddy in the bass at clean amp settings. At higher gain settings, all sounds from Gary Moore via Mike Bloomfield to Bill Gibbons can be covered. The bridge pickup is fat and smacky with rich basses and biting, but never shrill highs. Once again the sound is absolutely top class, like every instrument that is the result of the collaboration between Tom Murphy and Jörg Hermann! It is also worth mentioning that the Les Paul comes with two certificates: one from the Murphy Lab, the other from Tom Murphy, in which he describes this instrument as one of the extremely rare "Burst Wishes". We can offer you this fantastic Paula in mint condition.
