Nearly fifty years ago the “Nitty Gritty Dirt Band” began making a splash in Long Beach, CA, and became a major force behind the explosion of Rock music with Americana, Folk and Country influences that began to dominate the radio. Several Grammy Awards and millions of albums sold later Jeff Hanna continues to travel the world making music as a founding and permanent member of the band. Throughout these forty-plus years on the road, on stage and in the studio Jeff Hanna has had an unbreakable bond with his original 1960 Les Paul Standard with serial number 0-2176. In 2015 the Gibson Custom Shop took this original and made an exact replica in a strictly limited edition of just 300 specimens. So today we are delighted to be able to offer you serial number 056 from this series, which has long been sold out and is rarely found on the second-hand market. One look at the phenomenally grained maple top in “Brown Lemon Sunburst” finish is enough to make you fall in love with this instrument. Wonderful color, best bookmatching and a detailed aging that exactly replicates the look and feel of Hanna's original. If you like the flatter 60s Slim Taper necks, you'll be absolutely thrilled.
